Lebanon Body Shop Inc.

History

March 29, 1946 Aaron Stager purchased the lot at 2501 Cumberland St., Lebanon PA for use as a body shop from Stanley L Kettering. Upon Mr. Stager's death, in 1970 the shop was incorporated as Lebanon Body Shop. Major stock holders were James Stager (Aaron's son), Francis Achenbach and Bill Gettle (formerly of A&G Automotive). Since most stock holders were approaching retirement age, in 1987, Jo Ellen Litz, an employee, purchased the property and business. Through the end of 2000, Litz was the president of Lebanon Body Shop, Inc. and active in the daily operation of the business.  Today, she runs her notary and tax business from 2501 Cumberland St., Suite 2, Lebanon PA.

Lebanon Body shop operated as an independent business that believed in the entrepreneurial spirit this country was founded upon, and Lebanon Body Shop technicians took pride in their work.  They enjoyed working with their hands and seeing the finished product.  It's like an artist signing his work.    They autographed cars at the 25th and Cumberland St. location for over fifty years.
