Armar's black snake lived in the
center rafter of the loft. I didn’t have my camera along but I did
appreciate her being there. He always had black snakes around as they kept
the mice away. I know when the Boy Scouts camped in the building the
highlight of the evening was usually the black snake sighting in the rafters

 | With Historical Society President Earl Leiby, I visited
Armar Bordner in the late 1980's to interview him for the PA Scenic Rivers
program. In addition to the falls and cabin, what I remembered the most
was an oxen yoke light hanging from the center rafter. Jo Ellen Litz |
