  Middletown Fire Company Rescue Hose #3, Water Rescue:

Volunteer certified divers help with various water rescue attempts from boat wrecks and recovery of weapons used in crimes to drowning victims in the Swatara Creek, Susquehanna River, or local quarries as requested.  Divers can only be under the water for a certain period of time, so various departments and dogs will be found assisting on any given recovery.     

At minimum, diver's certification includes:  First-aid; CPR; PA Fish & Boat Commission Water Rescue certification; and PADI or DAN certification, preferably at Rescue Diver Level or higher.
