H.M. Levitz Memorial Park

| In November of 1977, East Hanover Township acquired a 105 acre farm which was donated by Mrs. Marie Levitz with the intention of developing a recreational park to meet the needs of the area's residents. The farm which is named after her late husband--Herman M Levitz--is located approximately (1) mile west of Fort Indiantown Gap, off Route 443 along Park Drive in Grantville, PA. |

| The Lebanon County Planning Department assisted the Township in development of the park. Included are two skating ponds, one for ice hockey and one for ice skating; hiking and biking trails; an archery range; badminton, volleyball, and tennis courts; softball diamond; sledding area; mini ski slope; tot area; and picnic area. | |
| A lodge with sleeping quarters, kitchen and dining hall was also constructed, and can be rented for gatherings |

| In 1997, Mrs. Levitz donated $250,000 for programs at HM Levitz Park. | |
| Don't miss the APPLE CIDER FESTIVAL on Sunday October 11, 1998 from 11am-5pm. The Big River Band will play from noon-2 and 3:30-4:30. There will be a pig roast; bake sale; crafts; raffles; alpaca; face painting; pony rides; train rides; clown; scarecrow making; games; biggest pumpkin contest; Apple or Pumpkin Pie Baking contest (9" - Deadline 1pm); and of course, fresh pressed apple cider. A chicken BBQ will be prepared by the East Hanover Lions Club. A coloring contest is sponsored by the Jonestown Bank. Finally, there is a grange pie auction from 2:45-3:30. Gate Prizes. Donations, $1 per carload. |
